Lost Beach Boy U.K. Launch Fantastic!

David Marks and Jon Stebbins are delighted with the results of their recently completed two-week promotional visit to England marking the U.K. launch of their " Lost Beach Boy" book.  Published by Virgin Books, and in association with CSM Productions Ltd, David and Jon undertook an exhaustive schedule of British media appearances during their March 4 th through March 18 th stay.

Along with their fellow partner and UK Marketing Entrepreneur, Phil Cooper, they were proud to see two years of planning finally hit the retail shelves (at Borders Books on Oxford Street). Included in their run of more than 30 interviews were visits to Sky News Television, Capital Gold, The Big L, BBC Radio London, Talk Sport, Word One, and a long list of BBC radio affiliate interviews conducted at BBC Western House.

Accompanied by their wives Carrie and Nadia, Dave and Jon traveled the bustling streets of London everyday under California-like sunny skies, and truly felt welcomed by the city and by the London entertainment media. Despite a heavy PR schedule, they still found time to visit Abbey Road Studios where David paid tribute to Carl and Dennis Wilson and several other friends who have passed on by scrawling their names on the surrounding wall. Their Beatles fantasy was almost complete as they spent time with Sir George Martin, after their friend and gifted musician Jeffrey Foskett introduced them backstage at the Hammersmith Apollo Theater prior to an America concert.

The following day David and Jon traveled to the TBS U.K. distribution center to sign 1200 copies of their book at Virgin's special request. Finally, The Lost Beach Boy book launch celebration hosted by partner Phil Cooper and held on March 16 th in Brentwood, Essex made for a fitting culmination of a fantastic visit. Jeffrey Foskett added his great musical touch to David's performance that night, while Jon was thrilled to add his guitar to David and Jeffrey's during the early part of their set. The sound of Charlotte Cooper's sweet voice gave the night some added magic as did the great master of ceremonies presence of Mike Read.

On March 19 th the tired but happy Marks and Stebbins couples flew out of Heathrow International and returned to the U.S. satisfied that the Lost Beach Boy had been given a fantastic kick-off in the U.K. Now David and Jon excitedly look forward to their U.S. launch scheduled for May 29 th.
